“Our goal is to empower businesses and communities to grow their own fresh food using remotely managed vertical farms. So we build turnkey modules that are sort of hydroponic farms that are self contained and then we actually run a lot of the day to day maintenance remotely so that's nutrients, PH, irrigation, lighting, all of the kind of day to day variables you need to control for optimal plant growth."
"I would say just in terms of executing on our plans, that focus is everything. I think when we look at again, compared to the status quo, we have elevated the concept, it's easy to use, but we've also implemented a lot of features for food safety traceability and scaling and tracking the efficacy of the farms that we know how much is growing and who's doing it. These are really important features for large food service companies who are looking to scale onsite growing."
"We're not measured by the same things, but ultimately for us, it's a lot about capturing some of the soft benefits of indoor farming that I think people often overlook. But the ability to actually grow food in front of people and do it in a way that can really change the environment."
